Six-Month Programme

The Council of Legal Education (Caribbean) offers to common law professionally trained persons a six-month course of training leading to the award of the Legal Education Certificate which is recognized in the participating territories as the professional qualification for admission to practice. The course begins in September and ends in March in each year.

The West Indian Law Journal (WILJ)is a flagship product of the Council of Legal Education. The first publication of the WILJ was in 1977 and for over four decades, articles written by eminent jurists, senior legal professionals and respected academics have been published in the WILJ.

It is designed to have a wide appeal to those interested in the law such as legal practitioners, students and researchers and provides an opportunity for persons to keep abreast of developments in the law and progress in legal reform.
